Wagga Wagga Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics Hub

We consulted with the community to manage environmental impacts and planning approvals, leveraged our signalling technical expertise, and re-engineered a major structure to help improve capacity and reliability of freight trains.

A major regional city in the heart of NSW’s famous Riverina region, Wagga Wagga is known as the birthplace of the Chiko Roll and some of Australia’s most well-known sports people.

City Rail Link (CRL) is the largest and most complex transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in Aotearoa New Zealand. As part of Link Alliance, WSP has worked with City Rail Link Ltd and Link Alliance members to help deliver a twin-tunnel underground rail link through central Auckland, including new stations at Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape and a redeveloped Maungawhau station. The project will transform how people move through Tāmaki Makaurau, increasing rail capacity, improving access to the city centre and wider region, and enabling faster, more frequent and better-connected journeys.

Helsinki’s Kruunuvuori Bridge, designed by WSP in Finland, is one of the world’s longest bridges solely for public transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

In a town where three major Victorian rivers converge, this public hospital has expanded its inpatient and emergency facilities to meet growing demand from the local community.

In a first for Melbourne, WSP applied innovative structural engineering techniques to grow this inner city building in Melbourne to one of the tallest timber building extensions in the world. By using the latest in timber construction technology, WSP designed to use cross laminated timber (CLT) to transform the existing six-storey building by adding a 10-storey hotel.

A key piece in Monash University’s reinvigoration of the Clayton campus southern precinct, the Learning and Teaching Building, is also the largest infrastructure development program in the campus’ history. 

This building acts as a mini city centre, bringing together disparate services for students, staff, visitors and locals.

The new free-standing, two-storey building has been designed with integrated architectural and landscape solutions, to provide much needed office accommodation for 102 members of parliament and their support staff.
