Circular Neighbourhoods
Speakers: Pål Erik Olsen and Marte Mohn-Solberg
Discover how circular economy principles are driving some of Norway's largest urban development projects. Pål Erik and Marte will share insights from Hovinbyen Circular Oslo (HSO), as well as Hav Eiendom whose mission is to transform Oslo’s harbour into a sustainable seafront for the public. HSO uses Circular economy as a driving force for Norway's largest urban development project. Hav Eiendom has used theory from Doughnut Economics in their plans for Grønlikaia, resulting in the report Doughnut Economics in Grønlikaia (DEiG). DEiG is based on circular principles, where human needs and the planetary boundaries form the framework for development. At Filipstad, still in the early stages of planning, they are working with circular neighbourhoods, inspired by both the DEiG-model and FutureBuilt-principles.
